Details
on my Ocala experience are in my
WordPress Blog, which I try to update as often as possible (but it
doesn't happen too often as it's not always easy to get to WiFi access on a
daily basis).
I'm staying in the Longwood "Troll House" again this year--out in the middle of one of the cross country fields. You can see my little house in this photo set amongst the trees and the jumps! It's the perfect size for Fiona and me. She loves it here and wears herself out every day and sleeps hard at night.
The boys are again staying in the lovely main barn at Longwood this year. And I get to once again see all the friends I've made here at Longwood over the years: Betsy, JB, Fernando, Sharon and Jared, Cory, Jamie.
My
goals for Florida this year include moving Deke up to Advanced and Finny up
to Intermediate. I want to try to get in as many lessons as possible, but
expenses sometimes put a damper on that a bit. But so far I have worked with
Missy Ransehousen and Sharon Poulin on my dressage. And I've worked with my
friend, Jared Hohenberg (hunter/jumper trainer) on my jumping too!
I'm also working with a client's new horse, Chet. He is completely new to all the dressage and jumping and at this point I don't think he quite understands "what hit him!!" Hopefully he'll settle in and figure it all out and begin to enjoy it.
