One of our long-time clients has decided to sell their horse. Check out Aussie on his page–a horse who would make some child VERY happy!

As mentioned earlier, I took Finn and Thomas to be demo horses at a clinic where Leslie Law was one of the clinicians. Leslie rode 3 horses for an evening demonstration–horses at various levels of training and competition. Brother Thomas, my sale horse, was one of the horses he rode. Thomas is only about 15.2h and I think a lot of buyers hesitate looking at him because he’s a bit small. But here is Leslie, on Thomas. And Leslie, who is fairly tall, doesn’t look too big for Thomas at all!!!

Both Thomas and Finn did very well for Leslie. I was proud of both of them!

We just got another sale horse in the barn for a while: Algernon, a premium Oldenburg gelding, 7 year old bay, owned by friends/clients, is here for 30 days of training. Call or email if you’d like further information on him. He is just getting back to work after the winter off, but he looks to be a pretty mover and have lots of potential. Here’s the latest video of jump schooling with the two sale horses. First is Thomas. He was a pretty good boy today: just knocked one rail of a skinny!

And then Norton. He’s still very green; he’s got a big jump but just has to learn he can’t go flying around flinging himself over the jumps. He has to use himself and be a big boy! I am happy with his progress.

Took some new video of both of my sale horses, per request of a couple different folks who may be interested in one or the other. First up is Thomas: some at the trot, then some of his canter work. He got a little pudgy during the two weeks that I was at Fair Hill and Midsouth, since he didn’t get much work. But he’s shaping up again. And just got a trace clip recently too. And hopefully he will be looked at by some prospective buyers this weekend.

Next is Norton. He is coming along. Just starting some lateral work and still working on developing his canter–his left is better than his right. He finds shoulder-ins OK, but he doesn’t see the point of the haunches-in!!
