Athletes such as myself who compete at the highest levels of their sport depend on some financial support and sponsorship from individuals and corporations for education, training, and competition expenses. Riding successfully at these high levels requires a great financial commitment, both for the rider’s training and competition, and for the many expenses necessary to keep the equine athlete healthy. Your support will assist me in my goals of riding at those upper levels and representing the US in national and international competition.
Personal Sponsorship
Melissa has established grant eligibility with the American Horse Trials Foundation. Donations to AHTF are 100 percent tax deductible according to IRS Code 501(c)(3). The American Horse Trials Foundation was established in 1987 to assist 3-Day Event Riders and Organizers in raising tax deductible financial support for national and international competition. In 1996 the Bylaws were revised so that the Foundation could assist riders competing in the related disciplines of dressage and show jumping. By making a tax deductible contribution to the AHTF, you will be helping Melissa and her horses realize their potential and achieve their goals for the future. Corporate Sponsorship
As a corporation or small business, there are various ways you can support Melissa. Your business might provide Melissa and her horses with products or services in exchange for advertisement and endorsement of your product. Or your business may simply purchase advertising outright. In return, there are various ways that your business can be promoted.
- Signage on Melissa’s horse trailer which travels year-round all over the eastern half of the US; from Florida to Michigan and points in between. Your company will benefit from its logo, website, etc. being seen by both the general public and the equestrian community.
- Company signage/banners or other promotional material can be displayed and/or distributed at horse trials.
- Your logo can be placed on competition-related equipment such as saddle pads, buckets, baseball caps, jackets, polo shirts, horse blankets, etc.
- Your business can benefit from its logo and a link to your website from Melissa Miller Eventing’s home page.
