SOLD: Brother Thomas: the Fancy Little Sportscar
Congrats Conor; have fun with Thomas!
Thomas is a super little guy; a real powerhouse. He’s got an awesome jump and is definitely a fancy little horse.
Thomas came off the track in Fall of 2008; we acquired him in Spring 2009 and he started his eventing career that fall with two trials: one at the Kentucky Horse Park and one at Poplar Place. In 2010, he continued lightly competing: finishing 1st in Novice at Virginia Horse Trials May event and 6th at Stuart. He moved up to Training at Richland Park, finishing in 8th on his dressage score. He went to AECs in September and ran in Novice Horse, finishing about half-way in the division; he was a little “look-y” in dressage, but jumped around XC like it was a piece of cake.
For the 2011 season, he was able to go to Florida for training and competing with Melissa for several weeks. He started his competition season off with a bang, finishing in 1st place at Rocking Horse Winter I in Novice. He then moved up to Training for his next two trials: had a nice run at Ocala Winter II and then another 1st place at Rocking Horse Winter III. He moved up to Prelim during the summer and had 3 successful runs during the season.
He would make an awesome Jr./YR or AA horse and we want him to go where he will be able to reach his potential.
Here is his dressage from Ocala Winter II. He had a nicer test at Rocking Horse III, but unfortunately I had no one to video for me.
His showjumping video, also from Ocala–one rail in that round. He was going around so quietly that we didn’t get enough power to get out of the combination.
And part of his cross country round from Richland in August of ’10; his first Training run.
